At Dublin One Hotel, we’re proud to be on the path toward Green Certification. We care deeply about our planet and our local community, and we believe in a greener, more sustainable way to experience hospitality — so that future generations can continue to enjoy the joy of travel.
We’re committed to responsible tourism that benefits local communities culturally, economically, and socially. Our goal is to ensure that tourism not only enriches the visitor’s experience but also gives back to the places and people that make it special.
We invite you to join us on this journey — where comfort and sustainability come together to create a better stay and a better future.

Unlocking sustainability in the hospitality industry
We are currently working towards the Green Key Certification, a voluntary eco-certification programme for hotels, hostels, campsites, holiday parks, small accommodations as well as conference centres, attractions and restaurants.
The Green Key certification is awarded based on compliance with over 100 strict, internationally recognised criteria in environmental management, including water, energy, waste, cleaning, and sustainability education for staff, guests, and suppliers.
Compliance with the criteria is confirmed through a rigorous application process and third-party verified after regular on-site audits. The certification is valid for one year at a time. Today, there are over 8,000 Green Key-certified establishments in over 90 countries worldwide
The Green Key programme is managed by the international charity, the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) and its national member organisations.

At Dublin One, we are committed to operating responsibly, reducing our environmental impact, and making sustainable daily choices. Our hotel embraces green initiatives to create a more eco-friendly stay for our guests while preserving our planet for the future.
We recycle your bedroom waste – just leave recyclables next to the bin or in the dedicated section.
We are committed to energy efficiency – help save energy by switching off lights and adjusting heating or air conditioning when leaving your room.
Reducing Single-Use Plastics – we are eliminating plastic waste across the hotel, ensuring any necessary plastic is recycled.
We use sustainable cleaning products and detergents to minimise our impact on the environment.
Enjoy responsibly portioned meals at our breakfast buffet, helping us reduce unnecessary food waste.
Housekeeping is not automatically provided for stays longer than one night. Guests can opt in for housekeeping, by dialling “0” for reception. For longer stays, service is provided on the 3rd day, and linen will be changed automatically.
Thank you to our guests for helping us reduce our carbon footprint at Dublin One by saving water, electricity, and reducing the use of chemicals.
Reduce your carbon footprint by using public transport or renting a bike to explore the city. See below eco-friendly ways to explore.
Staying sustainable while exploring Dublin is easier than ever. Whether you’re walking through local parks, cycling city streets, or using public transport, there are plenty of low-impact ways to see the city. From Dublin One Hotel, you’re perfectly positioned to explore responsibly.
Walking is the most sustainable way to experience Dublin. From Dublin One Hotel, you’re just minutes from Mountjoy Square Park, the Garden of Remembrance, the Hugh Lane Gallery, and vibrant Parnell Street with its mix of cafés and shops. The city’s compact layout makes it easy to explore at your own pace.
With a station just outside the front of the hotel, this Dublin Bike share scheme makes it easy to explore the city on two wheels. Affordable, convenient, and sustainable – perfect for rides around town.
For guests with electric vehicles, public EV chargers are available nearby. One of the closest stations is just a short walk from the hotel on Gardiner Street. Find a charger.
Taking public transport is the most sustainable way to reach Dublin Airport. From Dublin One Hotel, it’s just a short walk to O’Connell Street, where frequent express buses like Dublin Express (782/784) and Aircoach (700) offer direct service. The journey takes about 25–30 minutes.
At Dublin One, we are proud to support our local community, whose warmth and genuine Irish welcome help create a memorable experience for every guest. We are especially pleased to support Hugh’s House, a charity near Temple Street Children’s Hospital that provides free, safe, and welcoming accommodation for families with children in hospital. Their work brings comfort, dignity, and a sense of community when it’s needed most – values we deeply share at Dublin One.
